Reach, Match, Safety
Reach/match/safety is not a fixed ratio; build a gradient from ranks. Reach options were slightly above your rank, match near it and safety clearly below. You must accept the majors in each tier, not just the school name.
Use rank, not raw score
Raw scores are not comparable across years; rank is more stable.
Check three years of rank movement, not only last year.
Major groups and adjustment
New gaokao applies by major group; only fill a group if you accept every major in it.
Accepting adjustment lowers rejection risk but may place you in an unwanted major.

No fixed number; include all three tiers, and make safety options truly safe.
Must I accept adjustment?
